Test & Verification

Radios OEM offers complete in-house testing and verification services to all of our contract manufacturing clients. We offer both functional and in-circuit testing methods.

Functional testing is a real world test of a device's functionality. Tests are created to best emulate how the device will operate to be sure that it will function correctly when in the hands of the consumer.

In-circuit testing tests selected circuits on a PCB to ensure the circuitry has the expected characteristics of a working PCB. For this process, the board is connected to a PC or other testing unit through an interface on the PCB. This type of test does not test whether the device works the way it is intended. It will only test whether it has the electrical characteristics of a working unit. Thus, it is possible for a device to pass an in-circuit test but not pass a functional test.

In-circuit testing is ideal for high-volume runs due to its high speed and high cost. Functional testing, however, is better suited for low-volume runs as it takes longer to run through the testing and is also lower cost. Whatever your testing needs, Radios OEM is sure to meet them.
